La'Honey, Allen, and Dylan

Meet La’Honey, Allen, and Dylan – a sibling group of three looking for a forever home. La'Honey, or Honey to those who know her well, is a dynamic teen with big goals. Honey is the mother to an adorable, busy baby boy, and she is looking for a family to welcome them both. Welcoming Honey comes with a huge bonus — instant grandparenthood! These two are inseparable and Honey is determined to raise her son to thrive and to break the cycle of instability and trauma that brought her into the system. Honey is a girl through and through. She adds a touch of glam wherever she goes and has a natural, self-taught knack for sewing, design, nail art, makeup, hair, you name it! She is involved in ROTC and loves it! She thrives in a structured environment. She is organized, dedicated, and has been promoted in leadership rolls quickly! She is currently torn between future aspirations of military and cosmetology school, and we have no doubts that she will succeed regardless of her chosen path. Honey is also very fond of animals – all of them, big or small, but is particularly partial to horses and reptiles. She volunteers at a stable in her spare time and loves to hike and spot local wildlife to research and identify later. Allen, the middle child, is the kindest, most generous kid. He has a big heart and loves fiercely. Allen enjoys building with Legos and collecting anything Pokémon or Spider-Man but given the choice you will find him outdoors riding his bike, unwinding in the sensory garden, playing basketball, or tossing a football around. Dylan, the youngest of the three is a socialite. Much like his brother, Dylan enjoys hanging out with neighborhood friends, playing outside, and riding his bike. Dylan is mechanically inclined, so in his spare time you may find Dylan building or taking things a part. That being said, you can probably guess Legos and Hot Wheels are a couple of his favorite things. Dylan is also incredibly artistic and enjoys creating, painting, and drawing. Like all children, Honey, Allen, and Dylan face challenges. La’Honey is still finding her footing as she transitions to young adulthood. She is learning to be her own advocate and to advocate for her own child. Honey and Allen both live with diabetes and are learning to manage this life-long condition. In addition to advanced endocrinology care for Honey and Allen, all three of the children are participating in trauma-focused therapy. They are all making great strides and will continue long-term. Allen has a mild intellectual disability and needs guidance with day-to-day self-care tasks, and Dylan is behind educationally and will need a family that is dedicated to helping him close the education gap between himself and his peers. La’Honey, Allen, and Dylan would thrive best in a household that offers a lot of structure, guidance, where there are no other children, and at least one mama to love them unconditionally.
