Kergan and Kurmyt

Kergan and Kurmyt are two sweet and spirited young brothers with bright personalities and a deep bond that is ready to be rebuilt with love, patience, and support. Though they’ve had to be placed separately for a time to let them work on their own issues, the hope is for them to reunite in a stable, nurturing two-parent home that can provide structure, routine, and consistency as they continue to grow and heal. Kergan is full of energy and curiosity. He loves being outdoors, playing with his toys, or relaxing with his tablet. He eats well and enjoys almost any food. Kergan is currently in speech, occupational, and physical therapy due to developmental delays and works daily to build emotional regulation skills. He can become physically aggressive and is known to run when things get a bit too much, so a patient, calm environment with firm boundaries will help him thrive. Kurmyt is social, affectionate, and loves to interact with others. He enjoys hugs, animals, rocks, play dough, and toy cars. Like his brother, he is in multiple therapies and is learning to manage emotional outbursts. He is almost potty trained and continues to grow in his development. Kurmyt, too, is a runner and sometimes displays behaviors like hitting or head banging, especially when overstimulated. Both boys need a family that is deeply committed, trauma-informed, and ready for a long, gradual transition. A home without young children or other special needs is best, and parents should be prepared to embrace structure, provide lots of support, and celebrate small victories. These brothers are full of potential and love—and with the right family, their bond can be restored and their futures bright.
