In many ways, Robert is your typical teen boy. He loves basketball, music, and shopping — give him a ball, a good playlist, or a chance to pick out something new, and you’ll see his personality start to shine. At his age, most teens are worrying about school, friends, and what comes next. But navigating life in foster care, especially as a teenager, is hard. And learning how to cope with feelings that often feel bigger than he knows how to handle yet is even harder. Like many teens who have experienced loss and instability, Robert has been surviving it the best way he knows how. He’s easygoing when it comes to food and loves all types. He enjoys the simple comforts that help him feel normal in a world that hasn’t always been consistent. Robert needs adults who understand that behavior is communication and are willing to stand beside him when things get tough. He would thrive in a two-parent household that can offer consistency, clear boundaries, patience, and unconditional commitment. He needs a family who won’t give up when things are hard — because foster care has taught him that people often leave. Behind the walls he’s built is an incredible teenager who wants to belong, to be chosen, and to finally feel like he’s home. Inquire below to learn more.
