James

James is a lovable, energetic boy with a heart that shines brightest when he feels safe, seen, and supported. He’s the kind of child who finds joy in the little things—reading aloud to others, playing outside in the sunshine, or jumping on the trampoline with a smile that could light up the whole yard. He’s incredibly helpful and can be wonderfully friendly once he feels comfortable and connected. James has faced more than his fair share of challenges, and while his journey hasn’t been easy, he’s making progress. Over the past few months, he’s worked hard on managing his emotions and reducing his aggression. Like many children who have experienced instability, James sometimes struggles to express himself appropriately, especially when things feel overwhelming. But with each small step forward, he shows his determination to grow. James would thrive in a structured, nurturing two-parent home where he is the youngest child by several years. He connects well with strong male role models or confident, patient female caregivers who can offer consistent guidance, clear boundaries, and unconditional love. A home with a backyard to play in, maybe a dog to bond with, and plenty of corn dogs, pizza, and French fries wouldn’t hurt either! One thing is clear—James’s heart holds a special place for his brother. Though they will be adopted into separate homes, we hope both families will support ongoing contact, because their bond is something truly special. James isn’t looking for perfect. He’s looking for people who won’t give up on him—who will show up every day with patience, understanding, and love. If you believe in the power of second chances and have room in your heart and home, James just might be waiting for you.
