Hola, mis amigos! (In other words, “Hello, my friends!”) Let me introduce you to Jennifer, who is equally comfortable saying hello and a lot more in either English or Spanish. Jennifer loves playing soccer, singing, and dancing…and she’s quite artistic as well. Her foster parents describe her as funny and outgoing and they say she’s really nurturing with younger kids. Jennifer does struggle with anxiety and the uncertainty of being in foster care without a permanent home and family of her own. She also struggles at times with balancing her love of her original family and her desire for a new family to call her own. This is real life in foster care, folks. Jennifer needs a family to understand the trauma she’s experienced and the conflicting emotions she feels and give her both the space and the support to heal. Ideally, Jennifer would be the oldest child in your home with no more than two younger siblings. She’d also like to have contact with her siblings who are already with their forever families. Jennifer is a smart, funny, loving young lady who needs to feel safe and comfortable and wanted. We don’t think that’s too much for anyone to ask for, right?
