Alysa

OK, folks. We’re amazed at the accomplishments and goals of all of our kiddos on the Heart Gallery, but our friend Alysa takes the cake. She is truly a “Renaissance woman” – she is interested in and good at practically everything! Check out this list of things she told us she loves to do: sing, dance, swim, camp, ride horses, and hike. If you see a trend, you’re right – she loves being outside and doing outdoorsy things. Alysa is also a sports nut. She loves playing soccer, softball, basketball, and she’s even a cross-country runner. (I’m tired just thinking about it!) But she also loves to read (especially Harry Potter and true crime mysteries!), which brings us to the “indoor” things she’s really good at. Alysa is a talented musician and has played the flute, trumpet, alto and baritone saxophone. She plays in both the marching and the concert band at her school. And to no one’s surprise, she has a clear plan for her future education and career - she wants to go to college at Southern New Hampshire University and become a Game and Fish Warden. Clearly, Alysa has a drive and a commitment to doing her best, but she struggles with balancing her emotions and moods. Her mind is so active that she has a hard time slowing things down. But that’s where Alysa would benefit from the stability and safety of being home. We asked Alysa what she wants in her forever family, and as you might expect, she had a great answer. She said she would be happy with either a single parent or two parents, and she was quick to add that she has no issue with same-sex couples. She said she just wants someone who will love and support her and make time to spend with her. Folks, that’s not asking much, is it? Alysa is going to knock your socks off with her intelligence, drive, and abilities. But all she wants from you is your time.
