Grady

One of the first things we ask about a kiddo for his or her Heart Gallery bio is what kinds of foods do they like. Normally, the answers are pretty common – pizza, chicken nuggets, or other fast food. Our buddy Grady, however, just said “everything.” This guy likes to eat! In fact, he enjoys trying new foods, which is a little unusual for kiddos. Overall, Grady is a very likeable young man, but he does struggle with his behaviors at time. He can be a little defiant and argumentative, but when you need him to talk through a problem, he can shut down. But the good thing is that Grady knows he’s a work in progress (and aren’t we all?!) and he isn’t afraid to try to get better. Now that’s the kind of kiddo who can do great things, right? Grady will thrive in a home with consistent rules and expectations as he learns and grows. Grady’s struggles are the same struggles other kiddos go through, but his are just amplified by the trauma he’s experienced. With time and patience, he’ll come to learn that he doesn’t have to worry or wonder any longer, and he can just be himself for a change. When he puts it all together, with your guidance, he’ll be ready to take on whatever the world has in store for him.
