Melissa Stone

Melissa Stone is a licensed attorney and the Assistant Director of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS), a division of the Department of Human Services. After spending nearly 10 years as a child welfare attorney, Melissa brings tremendous knowledge to the Project Zero Board in the areas of child abuse and neglect, foster care, and adoptions.  She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board, both from her employment at DHS and from private law practice. Melissa is also a registered lobbyist and a certified attorney ad litem.

Melissa is married to Clay Stone. They have two little boys, Mitchell and Griffin, who keep them on their toes.

Shannon Newton

Shannon Newton serves as president of the Arkansas Trucking Association. In this capacity, Newton represents approximately 240 trucking companies, private carriers and industry suppliers on regulatory and governmental affairs in Arkansas.  She also serves as the industry’s media spokesperson, executive editor of the award-winning magazine Arkansas Trucking Report, and manages the statewide trade association.

A native Arkansan, Ms. Newton, is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. She is a wife, mom, adoptive mom, and an overachiever to a fault.  She and her husband Josh, and their three children attend The Church at Rock Creek and make their home in Bryant.

Scott Harness

Scott Harness is the Senior Pastor of ThatChurch.com in Sherwood & Cabot.  Scott is a husband, father of three and an outspoken advocate for the orphans in our community.   Through God's grace and the amazing movement of the Holy Spirit over 30 children have been adopted out of foster care through the families at ThatChurch.com in the past three years. Dozens more are cared for through foster families that have been raised up at ThatChurch.com each week.  Scott firmly believes that the opportunity to get to zero kids waiting is within this generations grasp.

Brad Sims

Brad Sims, Executive Vice President of Standard Abstract & Title Company, Inc. Brad is a UALR graduate who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Brad is a board member of the Museum of Discovery, The Little Rock Zoo and Project Zero.  Brad also supports Second Chance Youth Ranch for at-risk youth and is a member of The Rotary Club of Little Rock.  He has served in a variety of capacities at Fellowship Bible Church over the last 5 years.  Brad enjoys fishing, and activities with his family, wife, Melissa, and three children.

Lisa Riley

Lisa is currently the Vice President of Global Compensation for Walmart Stores, Inc. She started her Walmart career in May 1993 (~21 years) as an Assistant Manager in Training in the Sarasota, FL area. She has 13 years of operations experience as well as over 14 years of Human Resource experience.

Lisa was raised in Sarasota, Florida and attended the University of Florida where she obtained her Bachelor's degrees in Business and Marketing. She moved to Arkansas in 2001 with Walmart, and has loved the area. She earned her MBA from Webster University in Fayetteville, AR.

Lisa currently volunteers on the Helen Walton Children's Enrichment Center Board of Directors that focuses on early childhood education, and most recently joined Project Zero's board that focuses on awareness of adoptive children in Arkansas waiting for homes. Both boards are aligned to her interests in the well being of children in the state of Arkansas
